Brenda was frustrated with a musty smell in her house she couldn't get rid of it. She knew water was leaking into her crawl space and after researching, she called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent our crew of experts to her home and they recommended installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is constructed of antimicrobial-lined material and applied entirely to the crawl space floors and walls. This method prevents mold growth while also eliminating moisture. Brenda loves her home's new smell!
Greg W. called because the sidewalk leading to his home had settled and he was looking to get it leveled out before the problem worsened. The reason the concrete sunk in the first place was because the weak soil located below was no longer able to hold the weight of the slab, so we needed a solution that would address that issue.
We decided to install the PolyLevel system to lift the slab and deal with the weak soil issue that would otherwise cause it to sink again. We started by drilling penny-sized holes into the concrete and filled them with specialized polymers. In just about 15 minutes, the polymers expanded to completely lift the slab back to its original position while preventing it from settling again in the future.
Next, we caulked cracks in the sidewalk that formed when the cement slabs began to move and sink. In order to seal the cracks off and prevent them from shifting, we installed the NexusPro joint sealer. This sealant improved the look of the sidewalk and stopped the cracks from expanding any further.
