Basement Is Continually Wet
Even during our inspection, wet spots were noticeable on the floor. The basement couldn't be finished because the water would just ruin it. Something needed to be done.
DryTrak Is Seamless
The DryTrak system is continuous. The seams cracks and seams are all sealed and epoxied so that water reliably moves through the system and towards the sump pump rather than puddling anywhere on the basement floor.
DryTrak Is A Baseboard System
The system sits above the basement floor and allows any water from the walls to flow down into it as well as water that may come in at the base of the wall where it meets the floor.
Sump Pump Installed
This sump pump will reliably remove water from the basement and deposit it a safe distance away from the home so that it doesn't cycle right back in. The system also has a battery back-up to keep the system running, even during power outages.
Cross Tiles Added For Greater Protection
Some jackhammering in the open areas of the basement allowed us to add cross tiles under the concrete floor to absorb water flowing under the foundation and send it to the sump pump.
Cross Tiles Leveled And Stone Added
Cross tiles are pvc pipes with openings for water to flow into them. Drainage stone around the pipe helps keep it from clogging and allows moisture to flow freely into the pipe.
Cement Replaced
Once the cross tiles are in place, the cement is replaced over top so that you almost wouldn't even know that it was ever removed.
Project Complete
The completed system should offer reliable protection. Now perhaps the basement can be finished and become more usable space.
