It was an exciting time for Stephen as he was remodeling his basement and installing new carpet. He contacted our team to see about installing an egress window to ensure his home was in alignment with today's building codes. With the installment of our Egress Window, Stephen and his family not only have a safe emergency exit, but a brighter and more modern looking basement to match the rest of their renovations!
A homeowner in Portage, MI, was dealing with water intrusion in the basement, which had spread to a corner and leaked into the laundry room. Without a sump pump, the problem persisted. To resolve the issue, we installed a TripleSafe sump pump, CleanSpace, a vapor barrier product, and our WaterGuard system to direct water into the sump pump. These solutions now keep the basement dry and protect the home from future water damage.
This Winamac, IN customer was interested in having a new Egress window installed for a basement bedroom. The crew installed one of our energy efficient EverLast windows and accompanying well and cover. These products are made from inorganic plastic that promises not to rot, rust or crack like traditional metal windows and wells. Not only will this basement have a much brighter look to it, the window is also waterproof, making sure this room stays dry. Because after all, waterproofing is what we’re all about here at Ayers.
Richard had puddles accumulating in his basement after heavy rains and didn't know why. He decided to contact the team at Ayers Basement Systems and set up an inspection. The inspection concluded that water was leaking through areas in the foundation. Richard would later install the WaterGuard system along with new discharge lines. The installation by our crew at Ayers went smoothly and left Richard's home looking better than ever!
This is a unique before and after, in that the before picture was taken inside of the home and the during/after shot is from outside in the excavated soil.
We were called out to this home after the owner noticed that water was leaking in. He had built the home himself and knew right away what the problem was. The hole in the wall where the sewer pipe entered the basement had turned into a leak for ground water. Uninterested in building an entirely new wall, he decided to give Ayers a call for help.
After discussing possible fixes with the homeowner, the team came up with an idea for a solution that was part interior and exterior. The inside cracks would be sealed over with FlexiSpan, a sealant designed to flex with wall movement without washing away. Since the water was flowing from outside, it was important that a barrier be put over the exterior cracks. Sentry Seal is a crack repair product installed once soil has been excavated away from the foundation. The waterproof membrane was put in place over the crack on the exterior side and will stand up to ground water, soil, and whatever else the elements throw its way. This basement will now stay as dry as it would with a brand new wall but without the lengthy and costly installation.
