Tim and Tabitha have lived in their Bancroft, Michigan, home for about seven years with their 12 kids. They were looking to convert their damp basement into something that is dry, clean, and livable. They also want to use the space for storage without their belongings getting wet. Tim's allergies have been acting up as well due to the moisture and mold in the basement. Upon inspection, our crew determined that the family would need CleanSpace and WaterGuard to stop the moisture from seeping in and help Tim's allergies.   

CleanSpace is a moisture barrier that uses a thick plastic liner along basement walls to keep them dry and last decades longer. It also has antibacterial properties that prevent mold and bacteria growth. Damp air takes more energy to heat and cool. Cutting down on the moisture in the basement, in turn, will cut down on how much it costs to heat or cool the home.

WaterGuard is a subfloor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.   

Tim and Tabitha were absolutely thrilled with how the installation went. Tim's allergies have been much better since we completed the job and they are delighted to be able to use the space for storage and give the basement a purpose.

Waterproofing and Foundation Stabilization on Bancroft, MI Home

Dorothy has lived in her Bancroft, Michigan, home since the 70s. She has a block foundation with a finished basement but she has been experiencing issues with water seepage and moisture accumulation. As a result, mold has developed on the walls and floors. Dorothy wanted this issue taken care of as soon as possible and only trusted Ayers Basement Systems to fix it. Upon inspection, our esteemed crew determined Dorothy would need WaterGuard and GeoLock anchors. 

WaterGuard is a subfloor waterproofing system that collects water that leaks through the walls and keeps dirt away from the foundation. It is installed along the perimeter of the basement and on top of the footing of the foundation. Concrete is poured on top and regular flooring can be placed on top.  

GeoLock permanently stops foundational shifting. The anchors have 3 parts. The first part is a plate on the interior foundation wall. A steel cable is drilled through the plate into the soil directed away from the home. A second plate is anchored to the other side of the cable for maximum stabilization.

Between the waterproofing and foundation stabilization, Dorothy's home will remain safe, dry, and mold-free. She was thrilled with the result and feels more at ease now that Ayers came in to help.
