Nick and Norma have lived in their home for almost two decades. They noticed their back patio was settling and caused the back door to not shut, letting the weather in and room temp. out. Hoping to sell the home, they contacted Ayers to help prepare their home for the market.

When our foreman Blade arrived he was able to inspect the home and listen to the couple's concerns. They told him about an obnoxious large puddle of water that had formed and hoped that he and his team could help.

Bruce prescribed Helical Piers to treat the settling foundation. Helical Piers are screw-shaped drives driven deep under the home at an angle until they embed themselves into new firm soil. The tops are capped with concrete blocks the home rest on, providing a new flat surface. Helical Piers are a permanent solution to a home's settling foundation.

This customer contacted us because she was purchasing a home with block foundation walls that were pushing inward about an inch. Thankfully, our team of experts knew the perfect solution.

We used the PowerBrace system to completely stabilize the wall and prevent it from continuing to push inward. This system used a joist reinforcement method that transferred the weight of the wall evenly across the floor above to ensure other areas of the home were not impacted. The system used steel I-Beams that were installed directly on the wall. The beams were installed at the base of the wall and then connected to reinforced joists above the wall to secure the wall in place. Just like dental braces, this system can also be used to potentially push the wall back to its original position over time.  

This customer had a driveway that needed to be lifted. The slabs dropped about 2-3 inches and there was some erosion on the driveway as well. Several substantial cracks also formed on the slab that the homeowner wanted to address as well.

We used the PolyLevel system to level the driveway and combat the weak soil issue below that allowed the slab to sink. We drilled penny-sized holes into the driveway and injected them with specialized polymers that expanded to lift the slab back to its proper position. The installation caused little disruption to the home and the polymer material was made to cure within 15 minutes and match the color of the driveway. Next we installed NexusPro joint sealant to caulk the large cracks and prevent them from shifting or growing in size.

Glen C. called because one of his basement walls had a small crack in it that would allow water to enter during rainfall. The excess amount of water was beginning to ruin the carpeting and the homeowner was looking for a solution.

Our team of experts decided to install a crack sealant called FlexiSpan. Concrete walls tend to move over time due to shrinkage and pressure from the soil outside of the home. This sealant was smoothed over the wall to fully seal the crack and its neutral color protects the home without taking away from the look and feel of the space. The specialized sealant is waterproof and moves with the wall to prevent it from re-cracking.
