Theresa and Don have been residents to their home for 10 years and since they moved in they have had on and off troubles. They use their crawlspace quite often and the odors are just getting worse. SmartJacks Stop Shifts of a Spruce, MI Crawl Space
Judy and Marvin had been dealing with foundation issues for years now. Their Spruce, MI home was over an underground natural spring. In the past year, the springs had caused the crawl space to shift a full four inches. After using several different repairs over the years, Judy and Marvin wanted a permanent solution that would keep their crawl space foundation from tipping again.
Our system design specialist took a trip out to Spruce and introduced the owners to our SmartJack System. The plan our specialist drew up called for 14 different SmartJacks and several new supplemental beams to reinforce the structure and keep it stable. Once the SmartJacks were attached to both the new and preexisting supplemental beams in the crawl space, they were raised to a height that would level out the floor above. Then, the SmartJacks were covered with a mixture of concrete and gravel that would hold them in place.
Judy and Marvin shouldn’t have to worry about any more shifts in their foundation, thanks to the SmartJack System.
Getting rid of Moisture and Mildew Smell in Harrisville, MI
The homeowners were noticing a mildew smell coming from their basement due to the moisture they had down there. They had water pooling on their basement floor and needed a solution to fix it.
Our professional team installed a SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump is a full-featured system that includes the best components available. It includes the SuperLiner, which is an airtight lid that looks more attractive, keeps pests out and eliminates safety hazard of an open sump pump. It has a floor drain in case an unforeseen accident puts water on your basement floor. It includes a WaterWatch Alarm, which alerts you if the water level rises above the sump pump intake. It has a cast-iron pump to prevent overheating and burnout. It has a CleanPump pump stand that elevates the sump pump to prevent clogging. It has a check valve to prevent pumped water from re-entering. Lastly, it has an improved float valve to ensure long term performance.
Next, they installed the WaterGuard long lasting interior perimeter drainage system. WaterGuard collects seepage from your floors and walls by sitting on the top of the footing in your basement. Becuase the product is on the top of the footing it never gets clogged. The water is collected in the drainage system and transferred to the sump pump. The sump pump then removes the water from the home.
Our professional team also installed the BrightWall Paneling System. The BrightWall system works with the basement perimeter waterproofing system to keep your basement dry. The panels will direct water seepage down to the perimeter drain lines, which then carry the water to the sump pump to be removed. The BrightWall panels not only keep your basement dry, but they also transform your damp, ugly basement walls into bright, beautiful walls that never need paint or other maintenance.
Lastly, our team installed the SaniDry XP dehumidifier. The SaniDry XP is a powerful and effective dehumidifier that is designed to perform in extremely damp environments, such as basements. The SaniDry XP removes 10 times more water than the typical dehumidifier while using the same energy to run. The water drains from the unit automatically, so there is no need to empty it!
All of these products helped the homeowners eliminate the moisture and the mildew smell in their basement!
Ayers Fixes Leaking Basement in Harrisville, MI
This 100 year old home had water leaking all over. There was two different levels to the basement and there was nothing installed for waterproofing, such as a drainage system.
We were able to install our WaterGuard system for this leaking basement. WaterGuard is a perimeter system that is installed above the footing rather than alongside it so no mud or debris gets inside. It also has a built in 3/8 inch gap between the floor and wall to drain any wall leaks. This system once installed will direct any water that comes into the basement to the sump pump where it can be pumped out of the basement.
A CleanSpace Makeover Eliminates the Crawlspace Worries of a Glennie, MI Homeowner
One morning our call center received a call from Wayne, a local homeowner in Glennie, MI. He informed us of the standing water issue he was facing in his crawlspace and the current absence of a sump pump. Wayne’s friend referred him to Ayers Basement Systems, and he knew if his friend could count on us, he certainly could too!
After assessing Wayne’s crawlspace needs, we recommended the installation of our patented CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system to address the current moisture issues being faced below his home. The CleanSpace encapsulation product is a 20mm thick plastic lining that completely seals off the crawl space from the grueling elements it faces below. To supplement the CleanSpace system we installed a Smart Sump. The Smart Sump is a budget conscious sump pump, system that contains an air tight lid, floor drain, pump stand, and a pump alarm. These are the essential features needed to help keep a crawlspace dry. To complete Wayne’s crawlspace makeover, we installed the SaniDry Sedona, a high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system. Thanks to our team, Wayne’s crawlspace worries are now a thing of the past.

Stabilizing a Wall in Grand Rapids
This Grand Rapids homeowner called us becuase his retaining wall outside was bowing and cracking severely. The front door was starting to stick but he was also nervous that the wall was going to give so he needed a solution fast.
We installed the GeoLock Wall Anchor System to stabilize the wall. These steel anchors are a long lasting soloution to prevent further movement. Keeping a Forever Homes Floors Stable
Roger and his family lived in Las Vegas but wanted to move back to Michigan and have a forever home. He wanted to have his grandkids grow up in this house and eventually pass it on to his kids. When they started to move in, he noticed that the floors were solid but tilted and there were "bumps." He is worried that the floors were signs of larger things happening with the homes foundation. He called us to see what could be happening with the home and to fix it so it can be standing for many years to come.
We installed a new supplemental beam to keep the floors supported since the old one was not doing to job it was supposed to.
