Sump Pump 101: Ayers Hits the Classroom
Here at Ayers, we are constantly striving to provide the best service possible to our customers. This manifests in many different ways: we pay attention to the weather forecasts so we can anticipate problematic rain, we stay on top of the latest trends in products and services, and we are always, always learning.
We learn in many different ways, from many different people, anywhere from Basement Systems headquarters in Connecticut and Foundation Supportworks headquarters in Nebraska to right here in our own office.
In order to make sure that our Appointment Center staff have the right answers to your questions and know which of our System Design Specialists to send to assess your project, they participate in regular training in the office. Most recently, our service manager George Ayers (no relation to the owner) taught a class on all things Sump Pump.
"I'm known for my drawing skills," George joked, sketching a rough approximation of a basement. "Just ignore the whole house up there."
Starting with the reasons a basement floods, George walked the Appointment Center staff through the ins and outs of sump pump installation, operation, and maintenance, discussing both basic theory and a wide array of Basement Systems patented products that you can only get from us.
Will our Appointment Center staff ever be in your basement installing a sump pump? No. But it's our goal to help our customers from first contact to last, and we can only do that by cross-training and gaining as wide of a knowledge base as possible. So if your sump pump is beeping and you call us, don't be surprised if the first person you speak to has an answer.
