One customer in East Lansing had a very unlevel walkway to his house. This was a severe tripping hazard to everyone living there. Ayers Basement Systems resolved the issue by injecting the state of the art PolyLevel to level the walkway out. Now, walking to the house is no longer so dangerous.
One customer in East Lansing, Michigan had a wall that was starting to bow, as visible by the stair-step cracking at the wall. This tells us that the wall is bowing and is getting worse. So, we decided to solve this problem by installing our Wall Anchor System. These are installed by digging a tiny hole in the soil a few feet away from the wall. Then, we drill a steel rod into your wall so that the wall can be anchored into the soil. Now the wall is saved and this homeowner no longer has to worry about his entire basement wall collapsing.
A customer in East Lansing came to us because getting in and out of the driveway involved driving over a big uneven spot. They called us to install our PolyLevel technology which would level out the whole driveway so that their driveway would be smooth as butter. PolyLevel is a foam that we inject into the slabs of concrete through very very small holes. Then, that foam raises the concrete and makes it stronger than ever. So, now this homeowner can go into their driveway with ease.
A customer from East Lansing needed our help with improving her foundation. So we drove to her home to inspect how to improve it. After inspection, we decided to install SmartJacks. The SmartJack is a support system used to stabilize and level the floor joists in a crawl space. This system can support up to 60,000 pounds. The SmartJack system is placed on strong concrete fillings that have replaced the soil in that small location underneath the SmartJack. Now this homeowner will never have to worry about having a weak foundation.
Remodeling your basement can be a great way to transform a dark, gloomy space into an area you might actually want to so spend some time in. However, if your basement isn’t a stranger to water, it’s necessary that the products you install on your walls and floors can hold up if they come in contact with water in the future.
These wise homeowners chose to upgrade their wood paneling to ZenWall paneling, which have a thick, encapsulated fiberglass core and a vapor barrier ton the back side which stops water vapor from coming in through the walls. The floors were then covered with ThermalDry, the only inorganic subflooring in the wolrd. The tiles sit on pegs, so water won't get trapped in the flooring, and in the case that there is a leak, it’s easy to dry the water under the tile without removing all of the flooring. ZenWall panels coupled with Thermal Dry make this basement bright, clean and dry.
