This WWII veteran in Okemos, MI wanted to solve his waterproofing issues before he put his home up for sale. The basement was dealing with leaks in the floors and wall, and even though he had a sump pump, standing water was still building up. Our crew installed a WaterGuard perimeter drainage system that would lead any leaking water to the sump pump for easier discharge. WaterGuard systems sit inside the floor and wall joints to collect any water that leaks down the walls or through floor cracks; In the after photo you can see the top of the drainage pipe sticking out above the freshly poured concrete. Also seen in the after photo is an inspection port, where the homeowner or future residents can check the system for clogging and other issues. This home is now dry, protected and ready to sell.

This Okemos, MI homeowner found us at a local trade show and was immediately impressed by our offered services. She decided then and there that she wanted to have an Egress Window installed. As you can see in the before picture, her previous window didn’t offer a lot in terms of lighting. The 4-foot window that the team installed most likely won’t have this problem. A complete waterproofing system called us out to Okemos, MI for this project. The core of the job was a new sump pump to discharge the water out.  Our SuperSump is one of the most reliable sump pump systems we offer. The pumps are capable of pushing out more than 2000 gallons of water per hour, making it more effective than most sump pumps on the market - like the one seen in the before picture. These Okemos, MI customers were suffering from water leaking in under the stairs of their home. During heavy rainfalls, the water would seep through the crack in the foundation - seen in the before photo - and puddle in the basement. Originally the crew planned on using the FlexiSpan system, but after seeing the size of crack and noting the obstruction that the steps made, they knew an exterior solution would be better. So they went with the Sentry Seal application.

After excavating the soil directly adjacent to the crack, they applied the membrane to the exterior side of the wall. Not only is the waterproof Sentry Seal a permanent solution, it installs relatively quickly compared to most excavation jobs. After applying the membrane, the crew was able to replace the soil and return this home back to normal in just one installation day.
